FX Trying to figure this out with my FX Dynamic Double Express .22 700mm

Somebody please help! Im shooting 25.39 diabolo pellets... this rifles shoots better at 80 on the regulator. BUT uses a lot more air from the bottles ? WHY? isn't it supposed to use less with the regulator at a low pressure? At 80 shoots with a lot of power. Tried at 118 yesterday and its a joke. Why does that happen?
Really appreciate your help!!!
Have a good one there! Saludos

With a low reg setting the dwell in the valve is longer to get the pellets accelerated to your speed and some could be waisted meaning the valve may still be open after the pellet leaves the barrel it is more efficient to use a higher reg setting smaller blast of higher pressure to accelerate the pellet instead and if you get it right it should be quieter as well

yeah I hear air moving around after the shot. So that's why.. So im gonna go higher than yesterday when I was trying to have a set up close for my pellets and 30 grain slugs that are coming soon.
Ok so I just put more air in those bottles and gonna try something higher than yesterday and seee what happens... be back in a few..
Super thankful for your help. Have a good one there!

Did the come at the 80 Bar setting?
And what distance are you shooting that it "Does better"?
Nope. I was checking out how low on the regulator I could go and have a decent power on my shots. It worked at 80 but was using a lot more air...wasting it in this case really..
I'm shooting at 70 meters.
Shooting better now with the reg at 128 . Micro 2.5

I'd try 130 bar using 25 gr 22 cal and target speed around 890-930 fps
