Trying to get a holosum onto my AEA with dovetail mount

It says it doesn't come with any mount so I'm confused regarding how to even get a mount that fits it. I am looking for something that is dovetail on the bottom and whatever mounts to the optic on the top.

Just to clarify, I fully understand how a picatinny to dovetail rail works, but what I don't want to do is buy a picatinny rail for the mount and also buy a picatinny to dovetail adapter and stack those two up in order to mount it on my airgun. There should be a way to just buy a dovetail mount for this optic, right?

That Holosun red dot is for mounting on pistol. It comes with three different mounting plates but none are picatinny or dovetail. What might work is if you buy that Holosun, you can buy a cheap one off Amazon also;that has picatinny rail then switch the bottom plates. The tricky part about that is getting one that the screw holes will line up.If you’re not sure what I’m talking about I can give you a better idea with some pictures a bit later. But for a pcp even the cheap mini red should work fine. But I can show you what I mean with the Holosun too how to make it work.

If there is, let me know. LOL..

For my P11 and HW75, as well as my AEA, I just use the low profile snap in adapters and a picatinny style adapter.

Easy peazy - all the Holuson have a pic rail connector. Just get one of these from anywhere available:

Correction on my earlier post:It does NOT come with mounts. The bottom is completely flat with four holes. Two for the posts up front and two for the screws in the middle. This is it with the picatinny bottom from a Bushnell mini red dot

As you can see the screws or posts doesn’t line up.You can take the screws out and file down the posts and use glue or alien tape.(I bet it hold on a pcp).
Or you can go with a cheaper one that comes with a picatinny already like this Amazon cheapo.

But either way you need a dovetail to picatinny still you can get a low profile one, here’s an example of both together on a Crosman 1077 with dovetail to picatinny with mini red dot.

Hope this helps..cheers

Most of my guns have a version of the Holosun sight on them.

Unfortunately, I've never seen a Holosun/RMR footprint adapter that goes to the small 11/12mm Dovetail rail.
BUT, that doesn't mean that they are not out there. You can do your homework and look around the different web sites and look for yourself.

So as I've done, you'll need an RMR (Trijicon)/Holosun to Picatinny mount. You also need an adapter to go from the Picatinny to the 11/12mm Dovetail rail.

If you look closely below, you'll notice some white writing below the sight. That is a Picatinny to 11/12mm Dovetail adapter.
The one shown, I bought from a shop in the UK. The shipping to the US is horrendous ! Or, as the answers on your post, you can buy the small sections of adapter to use. Just be awair, you'll need two. Try to find the long versions if you can. MUCH more stable.
