FX Trying to hit ~900 fps with .22 Dreamline and 18 grain pellets

Here's the deal: I have a .22 Dreamline Classic with a 500mm barrel. The regulator is set at 100 bar. I'm shooting 18 grain pellets and would like to get near 900 fps. I suspect I'll need to slow things down to achieve optimal accuracy, but I'd like to hit 900 to give myself more space to work. I should be able to reach these speeds, right?

I did the whole rigamarole with adjusting the hammer spring tension and regulator pressure. Even with a nearly maxed out hammer spring at ~115 bar, I'm only getting a very erratic 870 fps. Am I asking too much of the 500mm barrel? I'd like to maintain a decent shot count, so I'm trying to avoid high regulator pressure.

Ideas?

The stats from fx dreamline classic are

Adjustable match trigger

VELOCITY 4,5 (.177): 295 m/s • 940 ft/s
5,5 (.22): 280 m/s • 920 ft/s

6,35 (.25): 270 m/s • 890 ft/s

7,62 (.30) TBA

You should be able to hit 900 . But , is the harsher shot cycle be worth it ? There's nothing wrong shooting 18s at lower to mid 800s . It would probably shoot the 16g Hades with excellent accuracy. FX could probably get you back to a better tune if all else fails.

My .22 Maverick is putting out 50 fpe at just over 100 bar.

And for 2x the price you could own one like Leon's , if more weight is OK.

I have reg set at 105 bar and 18s are going 900.
If you have early Dreamline your reg would need to be set around 130 bar because of smaller plenum.

I purchased it new earlier this year, and it looks to be the latest revision. I should also mention I have a second Dreamline that shoots 900 just fine. Out of curiosity, I tried swapping the entire air tube assembly from the second Dreamline to this one. No change, which makes me wonder what else could it be. Could the valve be the issue?
