She is easy on the eyes. Notice the nice screw cups and other touches that a professional tuner adds to his work.

Before tuning she was shooting well enough. to hunt squirrels.

I sent her off to John to have his way with her.

The ES and SD above are as good as it gets. ES is 1 percent of average velocity and SD is less than half a percent of muzzle velocity! There are a whole lot of PCPs that can't do that.

She shoots eighteen percent harder and somewhat better. . In seven out of the 13 groups all three pellets are touching. There is no longer any spring buzz. The trigger was good already. It now breaks like glass. There is absolutely no sound while cocking other than the "snick" of the piston locking up. John does as good or better work than any other tuner in the business. That's a professional, right there folks. Just brilliant.

Yes, sir. It was a Vortek kit. He did quite a bit of other stuff as well. Nice work on the piston for example.

You know I don't know if that was part of the tune or if there was an extra charge for it. When I send a gun to John I tell him to give it the "works". I have never gotten one back from him that I was not 110% satisfied. I have a d430 at his shop right now. He has done three Diana's and the 98 for me to date.

Those are delrin inserts in notches that he cut into the piston.

Ditto on John Thomas of Thomasville, Pa, near York. John tuned my Tx200, I could not be happier. I have shot numerous 5 shot groups measured c2c .100 to .150. At 25 yds.

Oh my that’s the perfect springer right there, it is most definitely easy on the eyes! And the adjustable cheek piece is very nice. Plus it’s obviously an excellent shooter too. Are you using the lighter .20 pellet? 
That’s just a perfect little rifle, and I can imagine how nice it cocks, John did my HW30 and it’s just so sweet! Thanks for sharing.

Looking back at your groups just now and I’m impressed again.
It makes me realize that I’m going to need a more powerful springer than my HW30.
You definitely have a sweet rifle right there!
