Tuning a Gen 1 Impact

So I have watched as many vids as I can find. Some questions remain. 

1. With new 700mm STX in .30, shooting JSB 44.75 - what kind of muzzel velocity should I being expecting with reg set at ~140 bar and hammer spring at MAX? 

2. Is there some "whiz bang" benefit to changing the reg out for a Huma?

3. Neither Matt or Ted talk much about valve spring tension adjustment. What exactly can I accomplish with that?

1- around 860fps or so 

2- no if you do not have problems with your actual reg and you not go over 150b. If you want more, huma, unless you change the washers

3- valve knob control how much the valve got open, full opening = air wasted = less precision (fine tuning )

I just got my gen1 back from Ernest and it's rockin 100fpe! 148fps w/ a 50gr. Though the 44gr fly a little flatter so I may switch over. Really need some time at the field getting used to all the new power it has. All this w/ a reg setting below 140 bar.

Hope he doesn't mind my sharing the list of things he did, as you can see it's a pretty extensive list. What's not on there is the plenam extender shown in the pic. I do like the short barrel, but would love to try a 700mm STX barrel and see what it can do. $440...

I get a full .30 sideshot magazine. That's 23 shots.



Before I had it tuned, it was running about 830fps and I could get two mags out of it. I think I'll give up a mag and leave it on high power

What was the total price for this tune and how long did it take ?
