Brocock/BRK Tuning a Sniper XR Magnum in .22cal

I bought a Sniper XR Magnum in .22cal with the intention of shooting 18gr JSBs (900fps target speed) with it. It came with a reg setting of about 160 bar. I degassed it and now have the reg about 125 bar and am shooting the 18gr at about 900fps with the transfer port opened all the way. If I click it back one notch I loose about 10fps, but the rifle sounds much better. 650fps with the transfer port on lowest setting. With the transfer port wide open it sounds like there is too much air coming out of the barrel. I haven't tuned one of these before. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

I have a Sniper Magnum in .25cal. I have been working on tuning mine as well, I would work with the hammer spring to help with the air leaving the barrel. You have to take the stock off to get the hammer spring and you need to remove the hammer spring as 2 lock screws are holding the hammer spring in place, once you have them removed you can adjust the hammer spring and shoot the gun for testing, once you have the HS where you want it you will have to replace the two locking screws to hold the hammer spring in place.

Here is a good video to watch
get to the hammer spring

Hope this helps

I had to remove that sticker. A razor blade did the trick quite nicely. I just degassed it and will try tuning it this weekend if I get some time. My target speed is 900fps with 18gr pellets so I'm guessing around 100 bar would be a good starting place.
Best to start low and keep coming up in 10 bar increments, and adjust the hammer spring as well
