HW/Weihrauch Tuning my HW30

My nephews HW30 is done and all packed up. Now it's time to work on my 30. I'm starting off with the trigger, I'm installing a rowan set back trigger blade and it should be easy, but it wasn't.
I removed the factory trigger, then tried to fit the rowan. First the pin wouldn't fit, but that's expected because of the peened ends, so I polished the ends and got it to fit thru the rowan
blade. Then when fitted in the trigger housing it was way too sloppy side to side, so I measured it, and it's .030 narrower than the rekord blade width. In the past I've had to shim these up, but it's usually only about .005 to .008 per side.

At this point I decided to just take the whole thing apart and polish the sears and do the whole thing.

So I machined the small washers/shims out of bronze, I made them about .016 thick and lapped them to size for a snug fit. Here's a look from the front after installing the rowan blade and washers.

The fit is really nice. So then I started on the sears, I used 2000 grit wet and dry, and used alcohol for my wet. Spent most of the afternoon on and off finishing everything, then reassembled it. lubed with remoil and removed excess.

Oh, and the rowan brass screw was smaller in diam than the aluminum factory screw, and way too sloppy. So I just cut down the aluminum screw and re slotted it. Then adjusted the tab for a snug fit.

It turned out good though, and breaks clean averaging 13oz. Feels nice and closer to my finger after pulling thru the first stage.

10 shot average with JSB 7.33's to compare later on.

I'll post in this thread as I go thru the gun and do the power plant. But I'm going to shoot it for a few days before I start on that.✌🏻
