Tuning Tuning the RAW - Lubing Bottle Threads???

I've probably removed the bottle from my RAW HM1000X about 3 or 4 times in total. I'm about to adjust the tune and will probably need to remove and replace the bottle several times. Would it be a good idea to lube the threads with moly or Krytox grease? I want to avoid any galling when removing/installing the bottle under pressure.

You can lube the threads with silicone oil or silicone grease.

It's a metal-to-metal connection. Silicone grease/oil isn't really meant for this, and can actually cause binding.

I used anti seize I destroyed a bottle end and huma reg from galling don't use silicone the best is the copper colored anti seize

I would go with Krytox. Designed for surgical room oxygen delivery systems and the aerospace industry. Should work OK on a PCP.

Clean and dry is fine. If you lube, just do it lightly, and with a specific high temp/pressure lube. As already warned, definitely not silicone. I've had my RAW bottle off several times, think I replaced an O ring, but no galling, and no lube.

Stainless anti-seize works great.

Find one for stainless, or just get copper based.

Stainless easily galls and work hardens.

To farther assist with removing the bottle, I dry fire then quickly turn the bottle like a half turn. You will feel it becomes difficult again. Then repeat.

You can do this till the bottle oring become visible, dry first once more, then thread it off.

The whole idea is never dry fire without air pressure
