Turkey Hunting with Taipan Veteran 25 Cal - Head Shots

I am new to airguns this year and hunted turkeys with a Taipan Veteran Compact in 25 cal. and I must say it was an amazing hunting experience. I hunted a total of 7 days straight and killed two good Gobblers. Both were head shots. 1st was 30 yds. 2nd was 20 yds. Spot and stalk sniper hunting these velociraptors is the funnest thing EVER. The key to head shots is waiting for them to begin the puff-up strutting which allows then to stay still for more than a second to allow you to get a good steady shot. I shot two shots and had amazing results. I gotta give thx to @Blackpaw for the use of his Taipan 25 cal. Compact airgun for the mid-Apr hunt. I have since purchased a Taipan Veteran Long in 25 cal. and could not be happier. Here is a couple pics of this seasons success.

Very nice shooting! I used to do a ton of turkey hunting when I was stationed in South Dakota. One of these days I am going to have to get back down somewhere and give it a shot with an airgun.

Also thx again to @blackpaw for the use of his Taipan Compact 25 cal for the hunt...what an awesome gun, from the trigger to the amazing accuracy...I just put together my own Taipan Long 25 cal that I’m hoping compares to the Compact...and it’s sexy!!!...

Yea that whole gun setup is very cool i'm jealous. I've heard a lot of great things with those Hades pellets.

Nice looking gun Sir. I really like how you've got the whole kit in one case and ready to open and shoot.

There's ALMOST room for binoculars and a range finder (maybe). I have the same gun but with a Home Depot-looking 2x4 ish beech stock that I painted black with bedliner spray, never looked back.
