Turret type?

Sightron specifically- can you tell me the difference between a target turret and a tactical turret. Any advantage of one or the other?

If I'm not mistaken, I think target turrets have a spin off cap on them while tactical are open with no cap screwed onto them.

Target turrets are finer adjustment 1/8" per click at 100 yards. Tactical turrets are 1/4" MOA yards or .1 MIL at 100 meters.

I guess both answers are correct. But I have seen 'capped ' turrets on hunting scopes. After comparing reticle specs side by side there is a difference in the click resolution between tactical and target just like @Joedirt199 describes.
