IORMAN 300bar / 4500psi High... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0798LSYFR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share That’s the one I purchased. Shows currently unavailable. And yes you can open it to the pressure you want.

I purchased mine on Amazon for 79. I think it’s great.

Thanks, I like the preset adjustable. The ones I've been using don't drift so once they are set then everything is good to go.

I use this on my 2 M18 tanks and it’s just as good as the one on the 7/8

Those type are knob adjustable, each time you open the valve you have to set the limit.

Mine are set before installation on tank. Just like adjustable regulators on the guns.
Open the valve it goes only as high as setting.
No chance to over fill unless regulator breaks.
Which is why I prefer them for tethering.

My fill tanks, I have this type:
Open the valve, get tank pressure.

As for your issue with pressure holding the knob, never had that issue on any of my tanks.
The knobs turn pretty easy (unless I crank them shut) regardless of tank pressure.

There are regulated fill valves available.
The Huben Power fill valve has been out of stock for quite a while.
AliExpress has one that works well, I have a couple.
I have one set for 2200PSI and one for 2700PSI.
I am down to only 1 rifle for the 2200PSI so I will retask or sell that setup.
Have them on 3L tanks and use them as my mobile tether rigs.
My 6.8 & 9L are my fill tanks, just have the unregulated fill valves.
Go through a lot of air futzing around overnight sometimes and don't want to use the compressor at night and disturb my neighbors.

Matt, I have that regulated valve coming across the pacific now .
That Daystate Revere 25 needs severe help , but the only help is a bigger tank. I’ve had it apart 3 dozen times. Finally settled on ( for now) 10 good shots with 25.39 pellets at 815 fps. Will be tethering for bench and use for varmints around house untethered

I’ve got one that I can regulate with shims to a set pressure if I want to travel light. But for big bores that’s only good for an extra 3 or 4 shots. It’s great for smaller pcp guns. And it’s hot swapable

To come down, I would recommend it. Or at least get the tank below the value you are looking to set.

Going up, no. The adjustment is an external 4mm hex.

I haven't seen anywhere that says you can't adjust down. You would need to a quick bleed of air after each adjustment to see the new setting.

Seems like a good option to have. I did ask because somewhere I had read about a rifle that needed the air to be removed to go one way or the other on the reg pressure... Can not remember though. Thanks

A lot gun regs have to degas just to access the adjustment screw.

Some regs like the Huben Power Dream regs they specifically state you can damage the reg by going down.

I'm not an expert by any stretch so I tend to err on the Huben Power side. But I have quite a few of their regs.
