So my issue is it hits 65° C in under 2 mins I feel like everything is set up right but it's not working? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Since it is connected correctly, do you have good water flow? It shouldn’t go up in temperature that fast. It seems like there is no cooling water going to the second stage head area. Without disassembling the heads and cylinders I’m not sure what else it could be. I know there are baffles that direct flow so it flows around both heads and doesn’t short circuit directly from the inlet to outlet and bypass most of the cooling cavities.

I agree with the post above mine. Pull that temp sensor from that hole is the back of temp spencer & check it in a glass of water you already know the temp.

Also those pumps have a adjustment on the side & it my be on low. My compressor has always showed hotter than it is. I checked mine with a hand held

light sensor. I do not like those pumps & replaced mine with one from amazon. Use ice no matter. I freeze 2 L soda bottles fill with water & use that in

my water bucket. Check this pump It pumps so much more & can be adjusted down to what ever works best. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013JPL3Q2

When I got my compressor it had to run a bit to break in before the temperature stayed "low" and stabilized.

When I first got it I ran it until it hit 60C and let it cool down-- note the amount of time it took to reach that temperature drastically dropped:
1:30

3:34

6:41

8:43

After that it went over 20 min without hitting 60C and stayed low. I changed oil that first time at 30 min.

Stayed around 55/56C with a 10lb bag of ice in it.

After break in it stays less than 55C now.
I now use 3 of these Cooler Shock packs with great results after another forum member (not sure if here or GTA) recommended them:

Prior to that I used frozen water bottles and before that bags of ice.
