Got my compressor and it had shipping damage so now I'm waiting for a new front cover since mine got cracked shipping. Mine is the 220 version and it was shipped with a plug for U.S. but it is a 110v and I'm not going to try making one of our standard 110v outlets into a 220v. To fix it I purchased a length of wire and a 220v plug. Now the fun part, take the cover off the motor and find the back of the power plug and remove wires and hook them to the new wire from the store (12ga extension cord length) and I also added a ground to the cabinet since it did not have one. To make it look nice I drilled a hole threw the side of the cover next to the factory plug and placed a rubber grommet in the hole and ran the new wire threw it. It was test ran for a few seconds and worked great.

Sorry to hear yours got damaged in shipping. I got the new head for mine, When I installed it I found the problem I have had with mine all along. The top grove for the high pressure piston ring is undersize and that is why mine takes so long to pump up. I am going to order a new piston for it. That will make it run as it should. I think. I still runs great and pumps up my rifles just fine.
Hope they ship your parts fast. The wait has got to be a killer.

From where are you buying this piston? And when you say it takes too long, how long are we talking?

As for how long it takes to pump up. I can plug off the fill hose at the end, start the pump and it will fill the hose up to 3000 in just a few seconds. Then it comes to a stop and will take 3 to 4 minutes to fill it up to 4000psi. That is just the hose. If you look at the new small piston you will see it has 4 ring groves, mine has 2. Only one of them is doing anything. The top ring groove is cut to deep and the ring is not doing anything. What I think is happening, with only one ring it can seal enough to pump up to 3000 just fine but one ring will not seal well enough to pump on up.
I replace the top ring and it will pump up just fine for a couple times, then back to the very slow above 3000. When I take the head off the top ring is compressed below the outside surface of the piston. The bottom one is not. I have only changed the bottom ring to see if it made any difference. And it didn't.

Yours is the new version. Mine is the first version with the flat top cylinder head. Your head is also different from mine. I ordered the newest head, but didn't know about the different piston. So I ordered it. With the updates mine should run like yours. That is the only differences, so I was told. Some of the newest 2 cylinder pumps are coming with I think 6 groves and no rings. They are running a lapped piston. I do not know if that is what they will go to in the single cylinder models. Even with just 2 rings on the high pressure piston. If my top ring grove had not been cut to deep. I don't think I would have had any problems with it.
I am very happy with mine. It will pump up my guns with no problems. When I get the new piston it will pump up my small tanks with no problem. For the price of a lower cost PCP, a person can have a compressor. To me it is a no brainer.

Why go to all that trouble when you could simply cut the 110V end off the cord they sent and add a 220V plug to it? That is what I did with mine!

You can do it either way. I personally wanted to put a ground on the compressor so that is how I did it.

Finally got the front cover also. I ran it and it was having issues pumping air so lucky me I had to take the thing apart. The 2nd stage compressor rings seemed like the stretched wider so I ended up cutting them to the correct shape so they fit in the rings. I used my finger nail to pick the extra off actually. Now it pumps just fine and it actually filled my tank faster than I thought. It is loud but not as loud as a pancake compressor so I'm happy with that also.

In short I already have the compressor paid for and on the way and din't consider that it could be single pole 240v running at 50hz like a good portion of the world outside the US. I didn't even consider this when I ordered so I've been a bit panicked trying to figure out how to make this work. My wife wouldn't be happy about the expensive boat anchor in the garage. I have the 220-240v available in the garage for my regular compressor and my thought was that I'd just be able to switch out when I was using one or the other.

Like Forest Gump said "Stupid is as Stupid Does," this time I exemplified that. So help me out guys...
