Hello,
I purchased the TUXING TXES012 compressor diretly from TUXING. a 300bar 220V 50HZ Auto Stop Air Compressor.
I added AW46 compressor oil, and connected the power cord to a electrical socket. So far, I haven't seen anything abnormal.
I turn on the compresseur with the main switch on the unit, and the RCCB (residual current circuit breaker) tripped.
This is not an overcurrent problem, but a problem with the motor's insulation to ground detected by the residuel curent device.
I unplug the compressor and take a measurement on the motor. 3,35 Ohm between Neutral and Groud, and 5,6 Ohm between Phase and Ground.
The motor has an insulation fault. There is a risk of electrocution if the compressor is used like this.
I have 220VAC on the metalic body of the compressor.
After a lot of email with TUXING for which he asks me for videos and tests, he concludes to : "If it is working without ground, then it can do it. ". Crazy Answer !
I have requested the replacement of the motor. The answer was "USD179", reduced to USD128 some days later.
Of course, I asked for a free engine replacement. But for the moment still no news.
I ended up making a Paypal claim.
Be very careful with this TUXING product as the wiring is scary to see. Insulation with hot glue. Cable sections that seem very undersized. If the high pressure is made like the electrical part it is even more frightening.
