Twas slug testing day!

Got up early and beat the wind to the range! But not by much🤷‍♂️ was dead calm when I got there. Got setup and the wind showed up🤦‍♂️
Nothing crazy like wind but breezy.
Was able to acquire an old pizza pan from work; so I utilized it as a 100y target🤗
Started slinging away
Got all of the slugs to hit the 100 yard mark👀🎩🤙
A few even went THROUGH the pan!!🤯
Slugs are NO JOKE when it comes to carrying that energy and smacking right through metal at 100yards!😵‍💫
I was NOT expecting them to go through at all.
Set targets at 15, 35, 50, 75, and 100yards.
Was able to hit them all quite easily with slugs compared to using a pellet. Was able to watch the pellets drift in the wind by about 4 hash marks in my scope from POA.
At that point it was getting quite windy, and the Lothar was low on air...
Toted the 880 along to see what she could do against the Lothar.
While accuracy wise she could keep up(more holdover and windage) but she just didn't have the oomph to do much damage after 75 yards.
However.....I WAS able to consistently smack the 100 yard taget with the 880. Leaving very little dings for damage.
Anyways; enjoy the pictures and videos!🤗
Had a blast even though it wasn't for as long as I hoped it would be.🎩🤙

Awesome shooting with slugs! They do slip thru windy conditions so much better than pellets. If hardly any wind then it's pellets for me but when it's windy out come the slugs especially when pesting or hunting. Great pics/vids 🤗.
I was awesomely surprised; was slinging in probably double the wind of when I hit 100 with a pellet.🤗

Good for you pal! It's kinda cool to "watch" your progress over the last few months. Which guns & ammo were you using? Great for one's confidence level when we can repeatedly hit at 100 or more yards. I'm sure you're getting to know the ins & outs of your equipment too. Stay safe & shoot straight!

Been utilizing the Lothar Rotek and a bit of Daisy Powerline 880 for my .177 slug testing.
Was using Wildman and H&N 13 gr, NSA 12.5, and ZAN 10gr
For the life.of.me I can't get a scope to want to zero on my ruger 🤦‍♂️probably gunna switch it back to iron sights🥴
So .22 slug testing will be done most likely.with my snowpeak pp800r

Now i think od like to see a more controlled slug testing especially with that daisy 880. Maybe be a set yardage and crony with group size per each in each gun used. Im foguring if that daisy handles them to any degree of accuracy then so should any gun .. them lite grain skirted ones i liked maybe to try

Oh they reach out to 100 but they don't carry the energy as well from the 880...they were leaving little dings in that pan though🤔
These were my test subjects

Them .177 cphp just tink at 100. Cant even Peirce its own tin ..lol. I think in .177 10 grain would be max id care to go .. them jsb knockout 10's i thought were interesting, and looks like a deeper skirt for maybe better sealing , but ...???

In the end it will be cphp for all my needs ..lol

Good shooting!!!. Its fun to challenge yourself and equipment😀 Thanks for taking the time to make videos too!!!!
Thanks! I love challenging stuff/theories 😅🤗
I like the videos bc it saves me typing out the picture description (if I know it's lengthy and could just record it real quick)
