Two firsts

Took these 2 rifles out today. The 35e .22 I had out last week, couldn’t sight in. Put it on the bench for an adjustment. Today same deal the scope I believe died. I’ll take it in next week for warranty. Probably have 30 Air Max’s, first defect.
I have the 54 Air King .22. Got it when they first arrived. I got a Diana ZR scope rings with it which I stripped one of the 3 locking screws. Broke way premature. Pissed I might of Sotheby’s 10 rounds from the hip and turned into a decoration. A few months back someone posted those ZR mounts. Leary I bought another. My two have different cosmetics, cross my fingers. Yesterday I bought an Element scope. Put everything together today. First time really shooting this gem. I was out a foot and a half and quickly zeroed to 30 yds. This gun is a laser. I’m in total disbelie. Tight groups at 45 yds. And hard hitter. This put a .22 round through 3 cans. Can’t wait for a fuzz ball to come sniffing around. I’m impressed with this Air King. I bought this gun because of Doyle. This with definitely now go in the rotation. Crow

Crow have you checked the 35E for droop? Before I'd write off the scope I'd optically center the scope with the mirror method, remount it and see where it hits. Then check to see if the scope holds zero at that POI. Then see if the turrets track.
You might have done this already but I figured it wouldn't hurt to make the suggestion.

For the record I've had problems with my last three 3-9x40 Airmax scopes. Two of them new replacements. It seems Hawke might be having some QC issues. My older Airmaxs (9) are all doing well. I have one old 3-9x40 Vantage that's hanging tough on guns that killed the recent Airmax scopes. Go figure. At least Hawke has been standing by their warranty.

Thanks Ron, she was shooting like a dream up to last week. The top turret just spins with no response. It’s an Air Max 4x12x40. I‘ll take it back to AGS in my neighbourhood, which makes it convenient.
If there’s one thing I’ve become an expert at is zeroing a scope, I’ve done enough. Crow

Welcome to the world of Diana side levers Crow. Fun guns. There are 2 versions of the ZR mount. The first was made in Germany and I believe only available for a 1” tube. It was the problem child. The later version made in China is actually better. It should have come with 30 mm rings and inserts to adapt for 1”. Possible you have one early version and one later one? Did you get the Accurized mount from Hector or go with a stock one?

This gun is a tank, but so smooth and the hardest whack of all my rifles. A little awkward jacking it but I’ll figure a easy way.
My buddy and I both got the ZR mounts a few years ago. He tightened his and stripped a screw. Called him a rookie and a few other harsh names. Put mine on and same thing. POS. That’s why I was hesitant.
I possibly have a chance for a 460 in .177. You thoughts? Crow

Don’t have any experience with the 460. And I’m not a big under lever guy. But have considered buying a couple times just to see if I have the huevos to handle it ha ha.

For a gun that’s had 100 rounds through it, it’s holding it’s own. A gun that feels like it’s falling apart when you carry it. I’m not on paper but I’m hitting 1 inch spinners solid 45 yds. away easily. I would think this is my hardest hitting rifle, but ohh so quiet. Not my favourite but an interesting rifle. Crow
