My surroundings

Popped bogie #1 sitting on my little step stool, very steep shot, using my Cothran/Stace bottle build, upped the reg to 2200 psi, doing 18.1 @960, and bogie #2 bagged at the pond - that spot hasn't let me down yet.

About to go out again, and try the trigger Sticks with the Marauder Jr.

Went back out, tried to hunt an open stand of hardwoods, but right when I got there, two folks were jogging! In the WMA no less - SHUX

Decided to wander a bit, but it's too dry to sneak up on anything, so I did a slow stalk to the pond, and eventually one showed up - popped him good with the M-Rod Junior -

I took this pic standing above what I thought was my dead quarry - I took the shot sitting between the little rock wall and the tree in the far right of the pic -

Playing possum?

Right after taking this pic, I bent over to pick the squirrel up, and he hopped away for what sounded like three hops to the end of the cedar deadfall - I looked all around, didn't see him, was getting a little frustrated, then he fell out a small tree next to the dead cedar -

So I have now used the Trigger Sticks with my three hunting rigs. Me Like Trigger Sticks!

Hate when they play possum, even worse when you get them picked up and they reach up to try to bite you. Nice hunt and nice pics.
