Can anyone tell me if the hunter carbine threads in the end of the barrel are threaded into the end of the barrel or threaded in to the shroud. thanks Steve!

Thank you .Steve!Their is a little end cap that screws into the end,its plastic. The barrel its self is only 7" long.
Just to add, there is a bit of space in there before the start of the barrel that allows for sort of an expansion chamber and if anyone is planing to add a mod they will need a male to male adaptor for most use cases.Willy, just to confirm, shroud.

Yep, and there is about 2-3x the length of the thread you see in the picture before you reach the barrel end. The plastic threaded cap that fits inside is a tube but it does not touch the barrel end so even with the plug inserted there is room for the air to expand inside. I’ve compared the sound with and without the plug and it’s definitely louder without it.Thanks for all your replies, the reason I asked is that I looked at this picture and it looks too thick to be the shroud. But it turned out to be an adapter that is threaded and inserted into the barrel shroud ahead of the barrel. Steve!View attachment 330575
remove the plug then put 1/2 x 20 male /male in and screw your moderator on , is what i was toldJust to add, there is a bit of space in there before the start of the barrel that allows for sort of an expansion chamber and if anyone is planing to add a mod they will need a male to male adaptor for most use cases.
