My stock TX .177 shot 8.4 gr JSBs at 850 or 13.7 fpe. I put a Vortek 12 fpe kit in it and now it shoots 13.2 fpe. Gotta cut a coil off the spring. Vortek spring kit is the lower one. OEM spring wire is 0.131 inch dia., and Vortek spring wire is 0.313. Dia of spring is smaller too. This stuff is a black art.
