Air Arms TX200 MKI Maintenance and Upgrade

Getting the Vortek PG4 kit deal with moly seal on Thursday. I have to wait till I get paid before I get new pellets to try lol. So for now I'll be testing with the R10's. I would like to hear you guys predictions. Will the old parts with new piston seal be better overall (really accuracy, smooth shooting) or will the delrin guide pro sport kit make me leave the original AA parts (40 ish yrs old)behind in the dust? I am SOOOOOOO curious to find out? It's killing me. LOL I am so pumped to be pumped about shooting again! I've even been setting up a little range behind my new house... prob 25 yds max. I even plan on doing a few challenges .... I like how you all do that. really cool. Thanks for looking. kevin
Don't over lube it like the person who installed this kit. Gained 90fps on a MK3 just by removing the excess. Went from 10.71fpe to a more respectable 14.5fpe.

Now ya know. LOL
The gun was cocked when I received it, so first thought was that the spring had lost its mojo or it had a 12ft/lb kit.
MY first springer i got at the dump . I was throwing a large projection TV out for a neighbor and a guy next to me had a trailer full of stuff "cleaning his garage " . He picked up this rifle by the barrel and was about to fling it over the cliff into the pile , I called Wait ! what is that ? he gave it to me and i looked it over , Winchester 1000 break barrel , put it up to my shoulder and ,yes you guessed it , loaded and cocked , a pellet hit a pile of tree trimmings .
about 30 yards away . Way over sprung nasty shot cycle thing . The start of my rabbit hole adventure .
Stan in KY .

The rifle he was about to toss was cocked and loaded? Wow, that's just wild, some people just don't think about consequences.

I say that fited
Hmmmmmm? I don't know 'bout all this. Precision shooters, accuracy fanatics, OCD sufferers: you seeing what I'm seeing? So who is a machinist lol?

Top .. Made to go together tophat and spring / looks vortek kit stuff ( i also seen mk1 had a metal twist in tophat as well ,)

The bottom... is mad fof resting on flats. / Flat spring guide base or in piston more ti what youd get from arh . Crimped and flattened to rest flat .

Right, exactly. I prefer the ARH set up.... I think. The flattened spring seems to me to be the way to go, but I'm gonna do lots of testing, with the Vortek just to see what it can do. Is the ARH spring wire heftier like say .125". I'm staring to think I may have some kind of old school kit that my dad installed when he bought the gun from AA. At any rate, I have trued up and polished all the flat surfaces while waiting on the piston seal. I will eventually make my own kit. Will update you all. z

Edit: I'm actually curious to see if the confortability of the Vortek kit will be worth some of the inevitable slop that one picks up by making things more user friendly.
