Air Arms TX200 MKIII

This breech seal wear looks pretty standard. If it was dieseling it would cause a failure like this as well. Yes, this can cause SD variation as well.
I do think with a side/bolt/ underlever thats a part id keep a baggie full handy.. nuttin but one of them simple things on one..

If you are talking about PW30 it looks bad to me and is needing replacement. I was thinking we were looking at part OR002 Pr. It too looks bad but as Hateful N and others pointed out failures are different.

I have one of these waiting for my next replacement when I need it.

I seen custom air seals Australia has some but did not check if they were there moly impregnated type seal..

Then i guess a guy could try some powdered moly like sold at amazon and just try to burnish some in a regular seal with some then lube ...? ..lol

So with a TX200 guru, we took the rifle apart and re-lubed everything lightly….Got the rifle back out and was having a great shot string then it would be 30 FPS slower, then back up to its 755 FPS average with the 10.3’s. The only item not worked on was the breach O rings so I order some up and will change those when they get here.

I would get a pretty good 5 shot group, then the next one not so much….Need to put a few wind flags out down range to see what it is doing.

Well im no aa guy but i do know if my piston seal fit is too tight thats what i can experance .. starts about right then falls off let it sit some ( like to cool off time) reshoot and the same again . Like i say its a fine line between too tight too loose and just right on a fit and when i buy a spring and seal i buy at least 3 seals to play with .. you can always take some off , but you can't add back on ..🤤

I assume its friction heating the seal or somthing as you do multiple shots in a row..

I have seen this on mine at times. If you run a chronograph for 5-6 shots you easily miss it. I usually run my strings 20 and that is when it starts to show up. It has never been perfectly clear to me why. I have suspected piston seal, but changing between older and new still showed it. I thought maybe a leak in the compression seal but changes there did not completely remedy it. Debris on the the face that mates with the breech seals, or other cause for an intermittent leak there, seem most plausible to me. Replacing the breech seals seems to help for a time. This has taken me towards thinking a looser fitting breech seal in some way. Tolerances or a worn cocking shoe or lever pivot are also suspicious to me.
