Air Arms TX200 MKIII

Dale

I ran the chrono the entire time and it was near the 15-18th shot I think…When I replace the breach seals I will check for debris….I will have to find a schematic with descriptions on the numbers you posted earlier to determine cocking shoe.

Yes it is in that 15 to 20 shot range the outliers seem to show for me as well.

New breach O’rings brought the FPS up over 20 FPS…..It was super windy at Rio last night and hold off was extreme. If you read the flags wrong you would hit the other target all together. And the up and down drafts while the sun was setting humbled any good shot you might have had previously. 😱

Still getting that 1 shot in a string of 20 that is much lower than the others…

So sitting at the awards last night and I hear the 5th place name called...Heart sunk because out of 12 shooters and some very good shooters ,I figured I had no chance at all after 5th place was called...4th place called, then Darrin says the 3 top shooters all had the same name Tony.....Wait was there 4 Tony's shooting springer....

3rd place called by last name, then 2nd place called by last name and it was mine😱😱😱.........I had no idea at all I was even in the running.

Best part was the 1st place Tony is the one who came over to my house and helped me get the TX200 running....He beat me by 2 points and when I grabbed my cards I had missed an entire bull on card 1.....

Great time shooting springer and laughing a lot with the group betweens cards because of the wind we were dealing it sent the pellets all over the place.

Thank you everybody for all the help and a big Thank You to Dale for posting the videos on how he shoots off of the bench and the responses to my questions when I would PM him.

Good Job Tony P.
Great shooting under less than ideal conditions.

What was your final set up? Which pellet did you use? Vortek? sand bags front and back? scope? scope mount?

We need details. :)

OK Caldwell front rest with a good looking microfiber on top. (Hard to find at my house most have stains on them in the garage) On the leather rear rest I also had a microfiber. Athlon Midas Tac in a one piece Sportsman mount. It does have the Vortek set up in it and I was shooting the H&N 10.6's

Cool! I am unfamiliar with the event, how far is the shooting!

Well now I am going to try FT with my TX200, but she, yes she, has new clothes on.

I was lucky enough to get an unfinished JP Custom stock from a friend. I finished it in a natural color and love the beauty mark on her cheek rest. I have a FT wheel coming from Eric at Scopewerks and it should be here Monday....So I guess I will try and get her all set before the Sonoran Classic coming up in a few weeks.

Now to name her🤔...Marilyn? Monroe? Norma Jean? Something I know will stick....
