Tuning TX200HC with barrel droop?

Nope even fixed barrel airguns in fact most have barrel droop. Either bend the barrel up or use droop compensating mounts.

At one point and even now I was mostly 100% using adjustable mounts and moa bases on everything so I can at least optically center my scopes and don't need to lap the rings which probably most don't even bother to do that can damage and put undue stress on their scope tubes even without shimming. Noticeable damage are evident with ring marks you know it was possibly shimmed or rings weren't lapped even expensive rings can cause this believe it or not.

You can also have unseen scope damage too without any marks and you will notice that the zoom ring and or parallax focus is extra stiff and or elevation and windage turrets don't work as perfectly as they should after mounting your unlapped non adjustable or rings that you used shims to boost the rear up.

Whenever buying a used scope always always always ask if the original owner properly lapped his rings and never shimmed his scope and never on a Springer or gas ram or magnum powder burner before buying it especially if it no longer has a lifetime warranty to the second owner after doing your due diligence what brands to avoid buying used due to no warranty for the next owner.

Thanks. Not what expected, but good to know this is common in underlevers too. I did have the RWS mount laying around and currently have it on the rifle. It is a bit high, but corrects for the droop. Now if I can just find a fix for the safety that doesn't always reset.... There used to be an aftermarket parts, but I guess it isn't for sale currently.

I'm curious if I can lossen barrel nut and turn. I may try that someday.

Thanks,

John
