Thin layers of colored wood glued and pressed into a block. When the wood is cut and shaped it will show the different colors and shapes of the woods in each layerHow do they do this?! Is it just a stain? I want to make/have a colorful stock like that

guessing is not super easy or everyone would have one
Manufacturer takes orders for the color , i do not know what size the order has to be? maybe 500 or 1k 4x8 sheets ? Really no idea .

Oh, Yea" Called laminate, laminate..a lot comes from CWP out of Finland,uno Finland, beautiful stuff. Was going to get some, but supplier here quit buying it.
There are more places in the USA, Look -em up.....btw I think the stock is pretty.
Also, the sizes are for rifles, not sheets.

I was actually thinking of making a DIY laminate from 1/4 inch popular and cherry wood . Then send it to Mike Abernathy th make a stock .
might be to drastic of contrast maybe cherry and walnut ? have to try it . Maybe just Lowes cheap plywood ? made a bowl for a "scrapwood contest "
