The Blue Laminated 97 is what started me looking for one for my HW95, but I also wanted a thumbhole stock. Enter Craftsman Vit who said the color I wanted could be made, I said send me an invoice...lol.

It's not ugly to me, but I wouldn't own one of those at this point in my life. I'm pushing 70 and my likes have changed.
Whatever you do, don't mess with that stock. Someone out there will pay good $$$ for it, as is.

Ok let me put my 2 cents in ITS A HW97 can’t go wrong !!!!!!! several of us have them they shooooooot goooood. Even if they are ugly.

It's interesting that the blue HW97 is kinda the only steadily produced laminate springer that Weihrauch has done. The blue has been available for years. They did a few green ones once, and some multicolored laminate in the 77 for a few years. And the tan laminates on the RX series for a bit.
But, the blue has always stuck around and they keep making it. Must be something to it.

I kinda like the blue. Not sure what the problem is. Of course I really like the traditional wood look too.

Yeah, I really hate laminated stocks. This is my ugly Beeman RX2/HW. Wished I hadn't sold it.

Laminates just do nothing for me. I go for walnut if possible, I hit the lottery on beautiful wood on my AA tx200 and the Pro Sport, and a HW 35 E is nice but not spectacular. I have a HW 97kt and never could warm up to the thumbhole stock, so orderd a Tyrolean stock from Custom stock, put it on my HW 77 and the standard Hw77 stock went on my 97.
