How does the Uragán 2 shoot. I have a Vulcan 3 in 22 for prs and coyotes. Shoots lights out.My two main squirrel busters are AGTs out to 40 yrds.
Vixen standard , .22 cal , GTOs 11.75 gr at 830 fps
Uragan 2 Compact , .177 cal , Zan 10 gr at 735 fps
Out past that distance I'll grab the K1 , .22 cal 25.39 gr at 940 fps, most are taken under 40 yrds for me.
Current tree rat count is at 233 kills.
Huntsman Revere in .22 works great for me. 10 to 40 yards is my favorite. And it serves me well. Before this it was a HW 97k in .20 but that one got pretty heavy on long walks in the woods.

I have yet to get a hw. Just have the one left handed tx in 177 for ftmain squirrel buster is HW77Long in .22
I had looked at an impact compact or a maverick compact but with me being left-handed I don't think I'd like to maverick magazine location. I have looked at the Pantera hunter as well. Here lately I've been looking at the crown in 22 with a 380 mm barrel. I wish they offered that in 177 that barrel length
I wonder what kind of power you can get out of the 177. 380 barrel in the crown. I would like for it to like pellets and knockoutsThey do have 177 barrels in 380mm, give Utah Air a call. You can also put a 300mm dreamtac compact 177 barrel!
you might be surprised at an HW . Fit and finish is top line . I might suggest an HW 35e https://www.krale.shop/us/weihrauch-hw35e/I have yet to get a hw. Just have the one left handed tx in 177 for ft
Oh I have wanted the 97 synthetic or 98 for quite some time. I've tuned txs but not any hws. My current tx I got from Cameron and had him tune it to about 11.3fpe and put the magnetic catch on it and he polished bore and did some trigger work. It is amazing gun.you might be surprised at an HW . Fit and finish is top line . I might suggest an HW 35e https://www.krale.shop/us/weihrauch-hw35e/
Or a used one tuned from reputable person on here .
Great gun! I have an R9 in 20 and a 54 in 177My preferred squirrel setup is a .22 Diana 350 with a Mantis 4-12 AO up top and Sportsmatch rings w/recoil stop. I use H&N Barracuda 18 pellets. Good out to around 60 yards.

Thanks. My other squirrel gun is a .177 D48. Love the Diana sidelever guns. Gotta try a 54 someday. I set the 48 up with an old adjustable steel RWS "C" mount and a Dianawerk muzzle weight. I've also taken some squirrels with my .22 HW98, but it's too pretty to go banging around in the woods with, so it's reserved for yard duty.Great gun! I have an R9 in 20 and a 54 in 177

That's what I needed to hear. I have never messed with any fx rifles. What kind of reg presure are you working with.I know and have shot 12.5g NSA slugs out of my crown with 380mm barrel at about 900fps, very doable as long as you don’t try to tune it with low reg setting. Lots of power, accurate and lots of shots if you tune it correctly. The 13 grain knockouts are very good out of FX 177 barrels and only ~10-15fps slower than 12.5 NSA.
My current tune is shooting 12.5g NSA @850fps. If I get the wind call right I can hit soda cans at 220 yards.

Ok great thanksMy current setting is 140 bars, it was 150 bars but I lowered it for pellets and too lazy to put it back. If you want to shoot slugs then go straight to 150bars and use power wheel to tune. It still shoots pellets great even at lower power, the power/speed delta between hammer settings is bigger when using higher reg pressure.
Can that compact shoot harder I looking for at least 20fpe with slug for the the 177My two main squirrel busters are AGTs out to 40 yrds.
