Umarex gauntlet 2 .25

Leaking out of the barrel indicates the poppet is not sealing. The first thing to try is to cock it first. Otherwise the hammer spring may be holding it open.

So if hammer spring holding it back wat should I do this is a first for me
Simply cock it, then attempt to fill it with air.

By cocking it, you're drawing the hammer back so it is no longer pressing against the valve stem, allowing the poppet to seat against the valve body.

Had a similar issue when I had a G2 .25.
I'm not suggesting this is your issue but there was so much grit and metal filings in the tube that it was jamming up the hammer ever so slightly. This was hours after taking it fresh out the box. I did clean it all out and shot it again. All was well for about 3 days til it started losing velocity. Anyway, IMHO, I'd send it back and get a refund. If you try to get warranty service on it, you won't get the same one back. You'll also wait an unreasonable amount of time for the entire process. During my experience, I had called them monthly to get a status report and they stated that since so many of the G2 were in need of repair and they were overwhelmed.
Over a 4 month period, they did send me 2 guns that I immediately sent back. One had a bent barrel and the other wouldn't hold air in a 4 hour period.
There are better guns out there in that price range with much better support.

My G2 has worked well since I got it from a seller here who went in another direction. I bought a Gauntlet, not a G2, in the classifieds here that had some leaking issues but had it repaired locally and it too is a strong shooter. It had some damaged o rings due to a bit of sloppy metal work when manufactured .Both are in 25.
