Umarex Umarex Gauntlet 2 SL

Well finally took the plunge and pulled the trigger- got my first PCP rifle- the Umarex Gauntlet 2 SL .30 cal. , got it about 3 days ago, got it sighted in today- about all I can say is amazing- stacking the Zan 68 grain slugs in a grouping the size of a nickel at 25 and 30 yards- very impressed, it way exceeded my expectations, thats a pretty sizeable piece of lead going down range, so far love the rifle, will be shooting longer distances soon, the 68 grain slugs fit the magazines perfect, I got 3 extra mags. so I have 5 total, this thing is a pleasure to shoot, Its a little loud but I solved that, I also purchased the Donny Fl Yokozuna Moderator it makes a world of difference, the side levers on these guns are smooth as silk, really looking forward to more shooting, super pleased with this purchase.

Glad you are enjoying your G30! I don't like how long it is but I got that resolved! Is that your average distance or do you push it further?

I will be shooting further, currently hunting around thick cover- most shots 25 to 40 yards- but yes I will be shooting much longer ranges as time permits, its just a real pleasure to shoot.

Good to hear! Just so you are aware hajimotoproductions.com sells a 2 stage trigger that is miles better than what the gun comes with right out of the box if you are interested.

Yeah I will check that out, for now I am going to tinker with the adjustments on this trigger and see if I can improve it some- thanks for the info.

do you know if anyone makes a stock that fits a Benjamin bulldog that is similar to your stock? I'm not fond of bull pup.. especially if they put the cocking lever on the rear of the stock.. it's better if they were to put a forward handle and linkage so you can cycle it near the trigger area..
I always thought about getting a bulldog, but I couldn't get myself to get one with the design.. and now they get less shots per fill since they made the m357.. opened up the porting for more power and now they only get a magazine per fill..at least that's what I read..

did you shorten the barrel on your gauntlet?

I am not versed with that platform to that extent, i do, however, remember seeing many members making their own stocks for that rifle. Here is the link, and I had Dana cut the barrel for me, 8 inches, so it's a 20 inch barrel now.
