Tuning Umarex gauntlet Gen 1 v2

I picked up a gauntlet Gen 1 v2 from a thrift shop a few weeks ago for $100 ( original asking price was $150) . The mag was stuck and the owner thought it was broke. . Turned out to be 3 pellets fed into the barrel. I was able to clear the pellets , remove the mag and clean the barrel . Great right ? Beside the leaking foster fitting I had to fix .

The issue I'm having now is the bolt slides freely into the barrel with no pellet , once I load a pellet in the barrel it's super tight ( both with a mag or single shot tray) . I have removed the barrel and cleaned it . The barrel appears to be super clean . Anyone else having this issue ?

i'd remove the barrel and use a rod to push a pellet through manually ... see what its hanging on .. throats on airguns are pretty forgiving, just debur it carefully with a small round diamond bit in a dremel if you find something .. then you can roll up a piece of 600 and chuck it in a drill and polish it out .. go slow, 'just enough' is just right ..

I think you should check the Breech O-ring, it might need replacing, also the breech on those guns are tight, Crosman and some other pellets are difficult to load, I would do as dizzums mentioned, the breech crown may be to sharp and needs chamfering and polishing.
