Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 BB pistol

I have just received my Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 BB pistol and must say that I am pretty impressed. Made by Umerex under full license from Glock it has the full Glock markings and has the weight and feel of the real thing. It compares very close to my real Glock 17 Gen 5.It also has full blowback which is nice. Great that I can shoot this and my other airguns at the private range that I belong to. heck of a lot cheaper to shoot than the real thing also. Probably the best Glock replica you can buy.

Would be cool to get a pellet replica shooter, alas....

I have yet to see a great way to index pellets on a semi auto pellet pistol...

Sig Sauer has attempted it with the belt feed, but it's a horribly engineered design, the trigger pull sucks, misfires, jams...

There's also rotary which isn't bad, but it's now a semi-revolver? :)

I'm waiting for the world's best engineer to come up with a better way to index and shoot pellets in semi auto. :)

I have a Umarex / Walther CP99 (pellet, not BB). It has the rotary magazine. One of the more expensive of the "cheap" guns.

No Glocks for me. Don't like the grip angle. I have a .45 cal. Glock. Doesn't have that many rounds thru it, and I've owned it for over 30 years.

I was surprised at how well the CP99 shoots being that it has such a short barrel. The trigger is, well, it has one..! I put a red dot sight (Venom) on it, cause I can't see well enough to use the little "iron sights".

I have a couple other "cheaper" pellet and BB guns. All pretty much junk as far as I'm concerned except this one. The Sig P226, it wont even pierce the air cylinder. I tried several things. Nuthin reliable. One of these days, I'm gonna take a torch to it and melt it into a little puddle. I have a Tanfoglio, CZ Race gun. Had to do a bunch of work to it just to hold the barrel solid in the frame. IF...it hits the 8-1/2 x 12" paper at 20ft. I'm lucky. The CP99 will at least hit in the black (three rings) with most all shots at 20ft.

Have you tried tightening then firing? Also try tighten then loosten 1/4 to 1/2 turn then fire couple times?

You can also try shimming the bottom of the Co2 if above methods dont work then try firing couple times.

Umm, you talken the P226 Sig Sauer problem ?

I tried a bunch of things. There IS NO tightening on the version that I have. It's a "cam action" lever. I tried shimming using a couple of different materials, a few different thicknesses. I removed the valve, took the seal out, played around a bit. Nothing really to adjust. Put it back together. The tube pierced ONE cylinder after taking the valve apart, then nothing again. It's like it needs a longer piercing tube, and there is no way to adjust it. The seal seems to be in the correct location and not deformed at all.
