@SLICKNICK I’m trying to understand here, but I’m still missing something. You said that the shims go “against the reg.” I don’t know what that means. Where exactly are the shims placed? If you could draw an arrow on a photo pointing to the location of shim placement it would be extremely helpful to me.The shims go against reg. That’s not the piston from hammer. Always have to degas gun to work on anything. I mean 1000000% sure both tanks are empty before attempting anything. I have 2 hammer a stock and a boosted one. I had bought a friend’s that leaked and had it swapped at UX. They provided great service by the way. And one I purchased at Amazon. When I purchased mine. Day one it leaked at plenum. I had a new one from UX. So I disassembled mine and found front piston seal. Replaced seal, boosted reg. And I’m at about 1500 rounds of a leak free hammer. Stock UX hammer leaking again, and not the boosted one. Go figure lol (I Also made sure gauge was facing me so it was easier to tether at range@SLICKNICK Thank you very much for that.
The pressure in that bottle is determined by the pressure in the front regulator. The air in the plenum (bottle in picture) is then dumped by the hammer striking valve and releasing pressurized air in plenumThe pressure in the shot bottle determines power output as it's essentially a dump valve design.
