Wondering if this has something to do with its accuracy? The barrel is smooth bore, BUT, whats going on here at the muzzle end ??? Never seen this before....In the last pix.you can look straight down to the barrel. But the BB is too small Dia. to be touching the lands & grooves at the end of the muzzle........Maybe something to do w/the airflow around the BB as it leaves the barrel .Interesting,I've never seen this before on any gun......Any ideas ? These notches are to prevent a "vortex" forming at the end of the barrel of the gas escaping. A vortex spins as it exits a smooth barrel or tube, this spinning will cause inaccuracy of the projectile (BBs). It has to do with the partial pressure of gases. This is a physical property of gas and how they act. In short it is Physics.
