Umarex Umarex Origin

I just found out from Umarex that they have discontinued making the Origin , I don't understand why I bought my first one and love it and was looking for a .25 caliber one and I contacted Umarex about it and that's when I found out about the discontinued product. I love my rifle it's light and accurate so now I might go to the Avenger in .25 , what's your opinion on the discontinued rifle and the Avenger????

That's a shame. The Origin was actually pretty unique as it really thought outside of the box with how to make a pcp that could even get handpumpers shooting quickly. If I see a leftover .25 for under $200 somewhere I will probably buy one for a friend.

edit: The Avenger is a great shooting gun for the money, however I would spend a little more and get the Avenge X, just because the receiver is way better built to accommodate barrel switching.

My first PCP was an Origin. For the price it was, and still is a great gun.

I think the Ever Pressure system was a great idea and worked quite well, but suspect that there were a lot of failures.
My first one developed a leak, and Umarex had me send it in to them. They just replaced the gun and that gun has worked perfectly since then.

I have since upgraded to higher end PCPs but still have my Origin and shoot it from time to time.

The Origin was my first pcp in .25 . Picked it up for Raccoons. Mine makes a little over 50 fpe with the HS maxed but I usually have it around 45 fpe . I've never had a problem with it . The length is why I don't use it much for pesting. I'm always grabbing a bullpup. I'm kinda surprised it was never very popular , especially with hand pump guys .

The Avenger stole the Origin's thunder. Or the Origin failed to steal the Avengers. Either way, the Avenger won.
