Umarex Zelos moderator help.

Hello Nation!

I just purchased the Umarex Zelos in .22. This is my first PCP air rifle. I want to put a moderator on it. I was looking for a recommendations, tips and tricks, and anything else that I would need to know before purchasing a moderator. Does anyone know if the barrel inside the shroud is free floating or if it is mounted dead center I’ve heard that I may need to go up to the next caliber just to ensure no baffle strikes happen. If anyone can offer me some advice or pointers that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am using a DonnyFL tango 22/25 with no issues with clipping. Backyard friendly. Yes barrel is open approx 3 inches from moderator. If you remove shroud you will see same. Make sure shroud is tight as if loose you will have issues. Great gun for the price
Especially at $411 which is best deal right now. Lots of sites have it under $450. Second batch came out a few days ago

Could also try baffles for the Zelos. Combined with a moderator really brings down the noise. The Baffles cut the sound down about 25%.

No print came with mine

Just got a Zelos in .22. Way too loud out of the box. I 3d printed an insert with 1 cone, 2 Tesla valves and a porous infill section that replaces the end cap and air splitter that screws onto the end of the barrel. Wrapped the barrel with some felt. Much quieter now, but not quite enough. The next step is to replace the stock shroud with a 50mm CF one. That should be real quiet without making the gun any longer than the air tube.

Would like to see a picture of what those pieces look like

Would there be a way to make the baffles even quieter? I just ordered them. Curious if adding a foam or something would help. To me any insulation would help.
I tried many different baffles. They all brought the sound down the same amount. I went with what baffle was strangest and easy to print . I think its because of how small the space in the shroud is.

Nothing a 50mm replacement shroud can't fix! I just received the 50 mm tube today I haven't fitted it with the parts on the breach end cut it to length yet but will do in the next few days. Work in progress.
