Umarex Umarex zelos o ring help

I forgot to lower my reg before pumping so I took off the tank to find I tore a o ring. I have spares from the hand pump kit but the umarex does not include spare o rings. Does it have to be exact size? The one I have is slightly thicker with a smaller inside diameter, I'm going to try and find a replacement at the hardware store. Is there kits I can buy? Also am I only able to fill the tank off of the gun to a certain psi? It started leaking out the non fill end around 2k psi and I lost all my air. Haven't tried pumping it up again. Doesn't help I got the gun today in the mail and it's freezing cold, maybe that weakened the seals?

First off, this is a known problem with the SPA M60 and Zelos, both bottled versions as well as tube versions.

The issue at hand is the 70 durometer orings used are too soft for continual bottle/tube removal under pressure.

I do have o-rings on thier way that I will be testing when they arrive but they may not be user-replaceable without a witches hat.

These are made from urethane and are 100 durometer so they are very stiff and hard.

This may allow constant removal but they may also chip, evaluation is needed.

I suggest looking for 90 durometer Viton orings locally if available. I do not have the ID or CS on hand, I'm on a job currently.

I guess I should keep the bottle on all the time, I did notice it does kind of come off easy enough wondering if Teflon tape on the threads a bit should keep the bottle on better not letting it twist off as easy. I'm not too concerned about it leaking out the non fill end it's holding 1k psi as I put a few drops of super lube in it let it sit and re pumped it just to 1k. My take from this is just leave the damn tank on, I do want to do a bottle in the future.

I strongly recommend you dont use teflon tape, I use Vibra-Tite on threads where you want it to stay put but still want to turn it if you need to remove it. I use this on ALL of my triggers.

Well it definitely seems like a problem, filled the tank off of the rifle to about 4k psi, and when I put the new huben cricket valve on just now and immediately began hissing air out at the connection point. Took it off and it had flattened the washers on the zelos side, both the small one at the tip and the larger one at the base. Not sure maybe I didnt lower the zelos regulator pressure setting back down to 0 before screwing it back on? Same boat, no rings I have in my kit will seem to work too thick or too loose. Love to hear the solution as now I’m SOL with this new gun! TIA!

I ordered this kit from Amazon and got it overnight in hours. This size works perfectly.

My Zelos Compact needed one after a few hot swaps
Don’t forget to use some silicon oil.

You’ll be up and running in no time. SOL no more

Thanks so much! Spoke to nick at huben and he also have same info. Back at it!

Just an update maybe this will help someone else having issues after converting over to the Huben valve and bottle. If you attempt to hot-swap this back and forth with a stock tube (just as a backup for air when not near a pump), be prepared to replace the o-ring on the nipple tip each time you put the Huben valve and bottle on it. unless it's empty I can change it over to the stock tube with full tank pressure with no issues, but every time I attempt to put a charged bottle back on it with the cricket valve it blows the o-ring and leaks. I have a big bag of them, but honestly it's too much of a pain to replace it every time. I have to put the bottle on EMPTY with no pressure in order for it not to blow the oring. Just gonna leave the bottle on it and fill it from there at this point.

BlackDog. You get the plenum to seal correctly ?
I have no clue as to onrings in that unit
I have the exact same plenum in a box still took it off. I thought extras came with it … the port on the rifle has this brown oring behind the gauge and these other gold and black types (can’t remember the name) go between the plenum and the piece that goes into the port. The end cap on plenum just has a black oring in that groove. I did lube these a lot before screwing together as c-88 makes these with very tight tolerances. Not sure if this helps.

Ok , I’m diving back in ha. I’ll degas and not touch the bottle. Hoping I can find some plug or fitting to eliminate the possibility of the gauge and larger part of plenum o rings. I’d really like to make it work.
