Umarex Umarex Zelos

Just an update. Got my Zelos in and it had significant damage on the trigger screws and a good dent in the upper plenum by the barrel. Supplier said they couldn’t do anything about it, called Umarex and they said they wouldn’t do anything about “cosmetic” damage. Pretty poopty practices in my opinion. How are you going to charge someone full price for a damaged rifle and say oh well, it’s only cosmetic. **** Umarex and **** thegundock.com. Will never do business with either of them ever again.
Likely a dropship order so they don't really have to do anything. Sorry to hear about your experience.

O.90" ID X 3.38" deep. I'm evaluating some as we speak.

I'm having issues tuning my Zelos. I can't seem to get the same fps + or - 8 fps. When I get near or an average fps I get 1 flyer in about every 4-5 shots. Unless I am doing something wrong... I've been through 300 pellets trying to tune this air gun. My reg is set to 1900 psi. I've backed out my hammer spring tension out with quarter turn each group shot of 3-5. This is getting frustrating. Anyone have any tips? What's your reg pressure and how many turns in?

I can get about 15-20FPS spread with a slightly lighter hammer spring.
I need that lighter hamme spring to get a better tune,

If your velocity spread is 16 FPS then you ar about average.

Well, having to change the reg multiple of times, the O Ring ripped. I called Umarex to get replacement O Rings. They did not have any parts available since the zelos was so new. But because it was leaking air, they will warranty it and will send me a new Zelos. I'm not sure if I should take this offer or not. Umarex stated it will take 7-14 days for me to get my replacement Zelos after they receive my Zelos.

I have been following all of these threads. Surprising that a Set of Orings didn't come with the Rifle? Well good luck. I will be trying My new to Me Stoeger tomorrow. Luckily, I have a decent amount of different weight pellets to try. Keep us Posted.
When I bought my Notos from AirGunDepot, it didn't come with any extra O rings. I didn't expect it with the Zelos. My biggest dilemma is sending my current zelos and receiving a worse one or damaged one. I'm still undecided... because what if my current zelos has a defect due to the fliers (It could be because of the pellets but I only have one type). Plus it'll take up to 14 days to receive the replacement. Decisions, decisions.

Buy different pellets?

I've had guns that hated EVERYTHING I put in them unti I happened upon one it liked.

My gut feeling is you have a bad crown, these barrels are normally very accepting of any pellet.

You are already invested to around $600 in the rifle? I would insist that they get it right. Don't do anything that would void the Warranty. Keep getting "Call Tags" and send it back until you get a good one. JMO
