You are already invested to around $600 in the rifle? I would insist that they get it right. Don't do anything that would void the Warranty. Keep getting "Call Tags" and send it back until you get a good one. JMO
I respect that answer. I think you have a good point. I will send it back. I will keep you all posted.

I change my mind, having shot this throughout the day today and just finishing shooting some soda cans at gatorade bottles at 174yds with various slugs YES. I would definitely buy this. I smacked an up right coke can 3 times in a row and 1 shot was just slightly low. I have a 10-15mph wind behind me and to my right. It likes 28gr slugs. The .218 28gr Zans, the 28.5gr VK in .217 and the Apolo 28gr. I will say the Zans bet out the rest but it may be cause they are 28gr.

Edit:

@$p00kygH0ST sorry this was the original comment, I didnt mean to write that statement twice.

It is definitely a nice platform to get into PCP's. It I was someone who didn't need a lot of shots, wanted something with enough umph to take down game for good price. Yes, I would buy it.

I will say that even though it's a tube version, and it has a vortex tactical diamondback 4-16x44 it feels a bit heavy. Heavier than my Huben k1 .22 with a 4-16x50 Arken sh4 which weighs 37oz with the rings compared to the 26oz the vortex weighs and they're supposed to be about the same weight.

If it came with a bottle like the m60b I would be all over it for the price.

Ordered in .22. Should be at my office Tuesday

I'm not offering fraudulent information but you will only successfully return the gun if it meets thier criteria for returns.
You don't have to give a BS story to Amazon if you order from them, pyramyd/ag depot/air venturi have stores on amazonz. Still have umarex warranty, but I've ordered cheap PCPS including my notos from Amazon, if something doesn't work, they will initially refuse the return, but if you call or live chat with a CS agent, you tell them "Doesn't function correctly, defective" they'll usually give you an instant NO RETURN full refund to Amazon acct or original payment method.. blew my freaking mind. They typically say "no returns due to shipping haz mat restrictions'. But the truth is if there is an issue. They won't peg you bloody. (I have a very active Amazon acct, so it is possible they made a concession)

Edit; which is why I have a beeman chief I never use sitting around, it does work, but I ordered the chief 2 and received the single feed chief .177 which is as loud as it's 17cal rimfire cousin

Sweeet! I will add that the zan slugs I tried I ended up lubing before trying them since they always come bone dry. I will take a picture of the lube when I get to my car tomorrow.
I've been doing 100 slugs at a time on a microfiber cloth, a drop or two of ballistol , roll them around, shake em, then wipe them best I can with a clean microfiber, then give 100 at a time a tiny drop of this with a very small amount of tallow mixed in.

Works for conicals and minié balls.. BP shooting

Does it add to extra debris collection after a fair number of Shots? I was lubing Mine for a while, and it seemed to get dirtier faster.
I can get off 3 fills before I see wide dispersion. Used to get about 90 shots. Last few times Its only taken 2 ballistol patches before I'm pulling dry patches.

I stopped lubing too, no speed or accuracy difference but my patches were much dirtier.

To each his own...
I never lube anything, but given how zans either have arrived corroded or just bone dry I decided to give it a try. Not sure if they were damn accurste at 174yd because of the kube of simply because of the slug.

This is what I do to all old style Zan's. Which I order due to free shipping from AOA. HP slugs often come old and black as well and that's what I've had the last few weeks. Old Zan's and Original Slug HP lubed resulted in insanely tight groups.

If pellets/slugs arrive badly tarnished, I'll throw them into the tumbler full of stainless steel pins and a squirt of Balistol to clean them up but you can't feel the lube.

I too don't like them dirty or tarnished.

Don't yet have a tumblr. But I did see that michael uses an ultrasonic cleaner to clean pellets and plugs.

Do the pins not damage the ammo?
