Serious question. What do you think about full synthetic transmission fluid as lube? Or an oil with a high zinc concentration?Graphite is actually a semi-flowable solid and will foul pinch spaces.

Ptfe is good stuff too. The Moly is was talking about is something like Liqui Moly or Tufoil. Tufoil also has a gun based PTFE lube. Thanks for the info. Still new to this hobby but I'm learning! Which Synthetic oil and is this the moly gun grease you're talking about?

I use:Moly grease for moving external parts. Silicone oil for internals for the o-rings and poppet. A drop or two in the fill port and then hook the compressor/pump up and it'll push the oil in and coat surfaces. Silicone oil on the bolt and barrel seal o-ring.

Very good info thank you sir. You can tell my lubrication experience is in automotive lol. Mechanic for many years.A full synthetic transmission fluid is a thin film lubricant designed to act in a flooded condition creating a gap between parts due to pump pressure and flow.
It is also a low viscosity oil allowing free travel in and through journals and ports.
It's use in an airgun would be very limited as we just don't see those characteristics demonstrated in our needs.
High zinc oils are specific to use as well. The zinc is a powdered solid added due to its inate ability to gall and smear under load, heat and pressure, filling cylinder wall gouges and wear allowing head pressure to return.
In an airgun, this solids package would be wasted and due to interference fitting once the solids are introduced, accelerated wear on soft metals such as aluminum could result.
Generic grease for high pressure pinch points such as a hammer shoulder and seer contact point.
Synthetic non-detergent oil for metal to metal contact.
Molly grease SPARINGLY applied on long slide, low contact hidden parts.
Not if they dont touch the barrel. My barrel band does not touch the barrel, it has a space of about 1/16 of an inch.Barrel bands kill accuracy...
Firewalker has made a few, but they have the bottle conversion.ANYONE BULDING A COMPACT ZELOS ?
