Now that the bidding frenzy is over and the pistol sold for $511.88, does anyone actually know what this is besides the bidders that sniped it ? Looks like it takes a 8 gram cartridge.

i had seen that also, it doesn't make much sense but after seeing a IZH 53m sell for 471 and then one for 521 and now everyone thinks they are worth 400+ when they sell for 80 euro in Europe

Looks like some product of a Crosman 150, a lot of JB Weld, and too much LSD. Regardless, it's proof-positive that there's a sucker born every minute.

To me it looked like a prototype of a crosman 600. Had that same boxy kinda look but with the co2 tube and barrel of a C150 sticking out. It even appeared to have the C600 magazine. Very odd, someone knew something about it, hence the sale price.

I never up a bid on ebay. If I really want the item then I set a price for it in my mind and only bid that price in the last ten seconds. If I win, fine. If I lose, fine.
