Unofficial AGN Monthly Shooting Challenge - October 2024

I figured it was time to officially take the burden of the Monthly Shooting Challenge off of Michael and come up with them ourselves. I'll start...

October is a fun/easy one by doing something Halloween related, so I came up with this paper target:

The PDF is attached below. The winner will be the shooter with the highest score on the paper target.

Additionally we should give the option of shooting something Halloween related. Use your imagination, but I went to the $1.25 store (Inflation 😩) and got some pellet fodder:

For this one, the winner will be chosen by the number of "Votes Up". You can "Vote Up" the entry by clicking the arrow up on the upper right of the post shown below:

From October 1 through October 31 is the window for entries. I plan to wait around 10 days to declare the winner of the actual target challenge to give people time to vote up entries that came in late to make it as fair as possible.

The winners of the Paper and Actual targets will have bragging rights, and I plan to log who wins as we participate.

If you have any questions, comments, contributions to how this ad hoc contest is run, let me know. Good Luck!!!

A couple days before blowing up the skulls, I also took the paper target challenge. Here is a link to the video:
I ended up scoring a 6. Here is a close up of the scored paper target:

I don't think that my 22cal had the ability to completely destroy the spider, so I think 18 was the best I could have hoped for.

I may have scored another point by counting the spider on the right in the middle row. What are your thoughts?

Either way, can you beat this score???

That was incredible!!! Man, a 0.177 sub-12 at 40 yards and spanking the spiders like that!!!

I was using my WRABF BR25 meter HV (Heavy Varmint) or Sub 20fpe rifle And it is ready for this weekend’s tournament on another island.

Just keep on practicing, be patient and never give up. You have the ability and all you have to do is develop your skills.

It has been 10 days after the end of the month, and the actual target shooting challenge bragging rights was taken by @DuckaneerPirate!!

Congratulations to all who participated!! Now, let's see what you have for November. We already have some good entries for the paper target, but what can you shoot that is Thanksgiving themed?? 🤔
