Unsolvable Notos Problems

My Notos with modifications by Bullysyclone.
Threaded barrel. Air stripper inside the carbon fiber shroud with 1/2x20 end cap.
Shooting Crosman HP and domes result with the same POI and overlapping pellet groups at 20 yds using the mini-Hugget and Bullysyclones prototype mini-Wylie.

Nice looking setup Paul. What did Bullysyclones get for his work?

I am not sure if others have had this problem but I was at the public range the other day and met a fellow air gunner. He had a very nice setup and some wonderfully made P-Rods with some custom tuning. We shared some stories and really hit it off. I had my chronograph out and was testing my Notos at 50 yards against a paper target. He saw my results and asked what tuning I had done to my Notos.

Long story short it kind of broke down from there when I told him it was stock and I only spent $260. I am not sure if the sun was in his eyes or a piece of dust but I thought I saw him tear up a little.

The Notos is a problem :(
Now that is funny, and I don't care who you are! :ROFLMAO:

Benjamin is going to need to redesign the Prod and improve on it drastically and make it cheaper than it is now to compete with the Notos at all.
That is what I have read the critics say about BSA and Air Arms. But those two brands are near the top of my list for traditional, high quality and accurate PCPs. Same goes for Benjamin and the P-Rod. I love my P-Rod and its aftermarket support and would never consider buying another cheap, black plastic throw away rifle to replace it. But I am not the target consumer of these type air rifles, and I'm sure they must be selling alot of them. I imagine Benjamin is doing ok as well with the P-Rod . . . a totally different customer target.

I'm not arguing that. Some people are definitely into the more classic guns, I owned both BSA R10 and S510. Both fantastic guns. Outdated yes but very respectable guns for sure. Same with the Daystate Regal but also just a fantastic air rifle. My .22 was stupid accurate and regret selling mine.

The Prod though out of the box I just can't say is, in my experience. I had to rebarrel, restock to have a usable cheek piece and add a LDC. It's fine having the aftermarket but shouldn't need to use it to be truly usable for what i needed. I was big into Mrods for years and thought the Prod would be just as good but unfortunately was more frustrating than anything. I do hope they do fine with the sales on them. But I'm sure they will be hurt by these newer guns.

I could certainly print one at cost for you, but I am not sure if 'subscriber' is agreeable to that idea. It is subscriber's design that was graciously shared. I printed and inserted the short nose version for my Notos.

Folks,

Any of my LDC designs where I have posted the STLs to an airgun forum, are in the public domain. This means you can print them for yourself, or someone else, without permission or compensation.

Im a righty and LOVE the left hand lever!!!! I can load another shot without taking my eye off my target.
I kinda agree only issue is everything is “standard” on the right side so I like to keep it that way. Or else you’ll find yourself grabbing at nothing 😂 if you have multiple guns that is

WOW. The Notos is easily a $500 gun. $220 is a steal!
If they tried to sell it at $500 would you buy it? Many wouldn’t… They’re selling for what they’re worth… This is but the latest “jump on the bandwagon” cheaply made PCP. Let’s see how they hold up over time. Crosman should Jack up the price of the CPHPs from sub $7 a tin? They’re easily $15 a tin pellets🙄 Wow!

If you own one, you would get my intimation. If you do not then you are speculating from a position of ignorance (in the literal sense not the current vernacular as an implied veiled insult).
All I asked is why would “you” want to “intimate” it’s a $500 PCP is all. No speculation or ignorance on my part. But heck, if you want to pay $500 for a Notos, have at it. I went the less expensive route, “twice” and ended up where I should have started. Its all good between us, lots of good choices in PCP land. Maybe start a poll asking if current Notos owners would pay $500 for one?
