unusual pests in the yard today.

These two rather large pests showed up today while I was setting up my 100 yard targets.
These two are wild and roam the area looking for grass and such to munch down on and of course,
leaving land mines for the mower to find.

Wouldnt mind that type of pest, pretty animals.

We call them Jack and Jill.
They really sound off early in the mornings.
Thankfully they spend most of their time down the road about 3 miles.

You can't get close enough to pet them. Too bad, they are cute.

At least it ain't 1 of these. Had a big bull up by our front fence at night. At first I thought it was a bear cause all I could make out is it's eye and they are very far apart. Probably close to 2000 lbs on the hoof.

The little guy stopped by this evening to check out spillage from bird feed tray. The big, black guy ambled through last fall. Deer, grouse, martins, woodchucks, ravens, and others visit from time to time.

My targets are now paper or steel. Hunted in past - deer, waterfowl and pheasant. Now just enjoy having critters around, these guys are why I live here.

look to the left. I like bears. we have at least one or two each spring as they pass through finding their new
territories after mom runs them off.
The one at left was at one of my bait stations. I also enjoy hunting the bears with archery. Challenging.
