Sorry all, but after talking with the club prez, we decided the rain chances are just a bit too risky for us this weekend. But we will be getting some new shots carved out and some tree mounts readied regardless. Anyone wanting to come out and help, PM me for times.
Next weekend looks great though and the new 10-75 yd 20 fpe course will at Texas Field Target, perfect for your Hunter class rifle or 20fpe pistol!
The Boerne Field Target Club will be holding its AAFTA match for September next Saturday, 9/16!!

Gates open at 8am
Match Start 9am following MD’s meeting
Cost: $10 per shooter. Waived for first time visitors and new FT shooters!

Gates will open at 8am for sight in with the match starting at 9am following the directors meeting. All AFFTA rules apply and 20 FPE Pistol is allowed and encouraged!. All airguns on the Woods range are 20 FPE or less. A chrony is always available as is air, water and snacks. Cost is $10 per shooter and new FT shooters and first time visitors are free! New FT shooters can join the BFTC and receive a practice target at their 2nd match, compliments of Pyramyd AIR! And speaking of compliments, where would we be without all our sponsors and contributors! Huge thanks to PelletGauge, SA Scuba Shack, AirgunNation, Tenacious Airguns, S&S Custom Targets, JD Custom Designs, Team TexAz and all the members of Texas Field Target!
With the forecasted temperatures a bit under Hades (83/65) we will be FINALLY adding the long anticipated tree mounts, added target locations and some general lane cleaning afterwards instead of a second match or range time. Anyone wishing to help gets some goodies from our sponsors as well as a first chance to shoot the new target placements!!
Few extra notes, after some discussion and conferring with shooters, we will be trying another binary target paint scheme ( two colors) again and far from the epic failure the gray and yellow were.
Since we can shoot until 10pm, night matches are for sure in the works as well starting in October.
Shooters interested in 12 FPE Pistol matches: we will be discussing the details of adding 12 FPE Pistol matches also starting in October!
AND…..your AAFTA rig is “ good to go” at Texas Field Target’s 20/100 FPE course! What the what? Texas Field Target is 20 AND 100 FPE??? Yep, try your AAFTA Hunter class rig out to 75 yds starting on the 23rd! Just like the 100 FPE course, all distances will be given, the 20fpe shoots 10-75 yds and the kz’s will be ½” to 3”. Or even go Cowboy style and reach a 20fpe out to the 100 FPE target ranges! September 23rd, the 20/100 course will be open from 9am-9pm… Just come and shoot when you want and as many times as you want. And thanks to S&S Custom targets, pretty much with whatever airgun you want!
