I have bought more than one gun from more than one dealer. Never paid close to that. Seems to be a DEALER issue not a UPS one. It should have stopped the sale right there …

Correction: 72 shipping, 20 for pp goods& services. Oh! and I really wanted this piece. Local ship shop a couple of weeks ago quoted 168.00 for a smaller box. High overhead probably.

If I ship guns I try to remove barrel from block to shorten length of packaging. The long dimensions are what usually kill us in shipping cost. It helps reduce stress damage that we've seen here on the forum also and EASIER to package securely.

I go the other end remove the stock , but usually shipping wood guns springers or s510 .

I too am new to pirate ship. Should have started long ago. I ‘sold’ something free for shipping in another forum and both UPS and USPS wanted $75 for shipping. No way I was going to charge that guy $75 for shipping something that was supposed to be free. So at his suggestion I took it out of the box and made a roughly 30”x14”x6” bubble wrap envelope and shipped it pirate ship USPS ground advantage for $15.

I recently sent a QB57 out to it's new owner. It had the original plastic case where the stock and barrel assemblies are separate. I sent it USPS for just under $20.
Size matters.
