Airgun Technologies Uragan 2 Valve Sealed with an FX Impact

I needed to make some reg adjustments on this new Uragan I picked up and despite my fear of the gun not filling again from 0 bar, I pulled the reg, opened it up about 2 hours (1/6 turn), put it back together and what do ya know, it wouldn't fill. My son was so ready to go shoot the next day so I spent from 6pm to 12pm firing the gun while filling and bumping the butt on the table trying to get that dam valve to seal. Nothing worked. I was so pissed I was slamming the butt into the workbench. Nothing worked.

What I really needed was a tank to get a quick blast of high pressure air in there. So I figured I would try 100 PSI from my garage compressor. I dug through drawers and found enough fittings to go from a 1/4 foster to 1/4 NPT > 1/4 NPT tp 1/8 NPT adapter > 1/8 NPT to M10 x 1 adapter > Chinese HP host > M10 x 1 quick disconnect > fill probe. The setup was a frankenstein of fittings. I blasted 100 PSI of air in there while butt bumping and firing the gun to no avail. So I guess I was screwed until I get a scuba tank with 300 bar in it which I don't have.

I ended up getting that stupid valve to finally seal and take on air in the most asinine manner. I pulled the bottle off of my Impact M3 and then removed the foster fill nipple. I pulled the valve piston from the fill nipple so it would just shoot air through it both ways and installed it back in the Impact. Then, i connected the Impact to the Uragan with a spare hose and screwed my 300 bar bottle back onto the Impact. WHOALA! :D That stupid Uragan valve sealed! What a #$#@^%% nightmare tonight has been.

Thank god my 1/6 turn adjustment was spitting slugs out at 956 FPS because I'm not degassing this dam gun EVER again. :ROFLMAO:

“Needs must when the devil drives.” As a technician earning a living working out of a vehicle with never enough parts inventory aboard, THAT was the story for decades of my life. Even doing such work recreationally (as a touring paintball gun tech) I often had to “just make it work” to get a player back on the field.
Did you happen to buy that Uragan from ViperJoe up in Willis? I lost count of the times I clicked his ad before that gun sold…

Ya I got it from ViperJoe. I originally got it for myself and decide if I want it or my RTI P-3. I opted to stick with my P-3 and hand the Uragan off to my son. He loves that thing so much he's probably out there in this 20F weather shooting it right now. LMAO.

I want another Uragan for me and another RTI P-3. I guess it's time to sell off the Impacts
Sorry to read of your troubles with your U2. I've degassed my new U2 about 8-times now to adjust the reg. and haven't had any trouble (knock on wood) getting it to seal and take air from a compressor.
That first seal was a pain. Since then it has now sealed twice by bumping the butt while filling. Maybe the valve just needs a few hundred more rounds through it to break in. We'll see. It's been an awesome gun so far despite that first time I needed it filled from zero.

I have the bronze one in .30 STX Superior 500mm and the red in .25 STX Superior 700mm and STX Heavy slug 700mm. I could toss the .22 superior 500mm barrel on either one.

Not sure why I thought this was in .22 when you posted the picture. I do remember thinking that it was pretty close to how’d I would want to set up an M3 in .22 (or .25) if I were to settle into one. I’ve also been eying the Krait too since they seem to have the kinks ironed out.

Oh ya, that one now has the .25 700mm barrel on it. I go back and forth on that gun depending how my gun A.D.D. is going.
