Uragan .25 destroyed my right hearing.

I do not know why, since the uragan was working perfectly when I last used it about a week ago but this morning I saw a rat running to and fro the hen house so I grabbed the Uragan to stop the pilfering right quick. Indexed. lined up, pull the trigger and a rush of air hits my cheek accompanied with a loud bang. It's been 8 hours since and my right ear is still ringing.

What the hell is going on? I removed the magazine and dry fired. It's very loud. When I keep my hand over the hole where the magazine goes and fire I can feel a rush of air. My Argus, for instance, does not dump a ton of air when doing the same thing.

Breech seal? But It's not even been 150 rounds since I got the uragan. How do you take it apart.. ?

I've already ordered a o-ring kit, should be here before Christmas, goddang covid.

Pellet did exit, I saw it kick up dust as it landed way lower than expected.

After that I tried firing it again and the pellet goes off but there is a massive dump of air to each side of where the magazine sits. And it barks!
I thought, aight, maybe I'm very sensitive in my other ear now and I'm imagining the bark, ..out comes the argus and it's way quieter --that one is supposed to be the loud one.

I'll try to take it apart tomorrow, there isn't a lot of info online but I guess I'll manage.

So transfer port and breech huh.
I just read the bottle isn't valved. argh.

@Cranky1 : I suppose you had to remove the barrel to do that?

It seems the gun is actually held together using the barrel.

Edit: So I had a look with a snake cam, before committing to take it all apart, and yes the oring is not in the breech. No wonder..
I know breech orings are to be replaced but this one went fast.
Ok,.. I'll take it apart and install a new one.

So the issue was the breech oring. I installed a new one and it's all sorted. Lucky me, I have tons of orings due to this airgunning hobby.
You need to take the pic rail off to access 4 grub screw under there that hold onto the barrel, you also need to get the plastic cover off of the action and loosen 4 screws there as well.

After that you can slide the barrel out.

Re assembling requires you to line everything up. I might have to revisit this as I'm not sure everything is in line.

All in all much it doesn't require a lot of skill. Reinstalling the oring is bit a of fiddle fest but eventually it seated correctly.

I was able to do the breech oring without taking the gun apart. My wife is a dental hygienist so I’ve got a few odd instruments. The best part is she has tiny hands so when I’m struggling with something she will jump right in. Even helps working on my 335k mile Jetta work car.

which snake cam do you have? I’ve been wanting one that will fit 22cal and up.

There is no branding on it, some aliexpress jobbie I got when I had to figure out where conduit was going behind a Sheetrock wall.
Yeah I can imagine dentists have quite the arsenal in picks and tweezers. While I had the barrel out I gave it a nice cleaning, so it worked out well.

Regarding the Uragan moderator,.. I noticed the moderator doesn't actually screw flush onto the rest of the gun, there is a 2-3 mm gap which means the barrel kinda floats.

So I fired up fusion 360 and printed a spacer that takes up that 2-3 mm to add some rigidity, I only have white pla available atm.

All these guys 3d printing stuff and sharing the files! Might have to invest in a 3d printer. For the most part the people on here make the hobby better.
