Airgun Technologies Uragan 3 coming....

I wanna say that I am not going to support the price gauging… but I know myself sooo…
The most I'm willing to pay is fifteen hundred for a new rifle. A lot of these guns are the same guns, with slightly better upgrades from the last couple of years.
And there's no reason for any of these guns, except for possibly the electronic ones to cost that high, imho.

Yeah I “know” that you are right. But somehow I also know I’ll still get it anyway… eventually they’ll ask as much as they can while still selling…

I have a client that manufactures a really cool product. Pretty much global market leader for that thing. It’s really really good. But I always tell them that I’ll never ever gonna buy it because I know their business inside out, including their profit margins on the different products. They make waaaaay to much money on that stuff if you consider the costs. Their simple response is always the same: “the price is not based on how much it costs us to make it, it’s about for how much we can sell it.”

True that, and I don't usually try to bargain people or companies for certain prices. I know that certain things take ingenuity and the know how, but when it's an industry norm? No thanks lol

That is very true. I also work for a VERY large manufacturing company and its the same thing here. We waste so much stuff so I'm sure that is part of why we charge so much (to offset the stuff we throw away for no reason).

The prices will remain the same throughout most companies for atleast the first year.

Krale still have u2 compact prince for around $1500 in CF, I think it's a .22
I only see green or red compact Prince and .177 carbon compacts. I tired to purchase the .22 carbon compact a few weeks ago but when I went to pay it was saying OOS.

Hmmm, do you REALLY...know the manufacturing costs ?

I worked in the Aerospace Industry most of my adult life. Unless you are really involved, you really don't know what the "initial" costs are.
Design, tooling, manufacturing, testing, rework, outside costs, hardware costs, packaging costs, possibly advertising costs.

It adds up VERY quickly. While yes, things cost more today than yesterday...the manufacturing costs...also cost more !

A while back I stopped by a shop that makes Allen head screw drivers (airguns and RC cars). During my time there, I asked why were their drivers more expensive than many other brands. He took me out to the shop and we walked the whole floor. Well, like I said above, having a pretty good working knowledge of manufacturing hi-end parts, it was pretty clear why their tools were a bit higher in cost than others.

So yeah, well designed, well built stuff...costs money.

MIP is my first thought for quality RC tools. You never appreciate a quality Allen, or any small screw/nut tool, until you strip one. My small Allen screw collection from RCs has certainly came in handy since I've got into PCPs.

MIP keys are awesome!!! Once you try them you’ll never use something else…

As far as the Uragan 3 I’m getting one somewhere somehow.
as far as this statement, it’s the way of the world.
Now I’m a blue collar guy. Was running a crew to move power lines across the street from a downtown charity type place. The principal of the operation was talking to me about the cost to do this. I was in agreement with him and thought maybe the planners had got something wrong. Called my supervisor ( friend, in my trade field supervisor isn’t a superior )
He came down and we all discussed it. He did enlighten me. To customer and myself said wtf do you think it’s just you , your crew, your trucks and materials ? You saw the nurse yesterday, truck was fixed, building maintenance, janitors, meter readers, on and on and on. From then on I wondered how any business made a profit.
Red or Walnut ??
