Tuning Urban hammer debounce

So I’ve only shot around 100 pellets out of my new urban, and it’s really impressing me on accuracy. What it doesn’t impress me with is air usage. It’s horrible. Listening to the shot cycle, it sounds definitively like the hammer is bouncing (sounds like a fart instead of a thud when the hammer hits.
live done some research, and haven’t found any available hammer denounce devices. Does anyone know, or have done anything for these?

Get a shorter and stiffer spring from your local hardware store. It may take a few tries. You can always clip a spring shorter but cannot clip one longer. Preserve your stock spring for reference.

Will this increase power at all? Or just stop the bounce? I don’t want to modify the power, it’s perfect for what I want it for.

^^^^ I would try that first.

I’ve tried denounce device using spring connected to the hammer but definitely doesn’t work. Shorter spring so that the hammer will freely move even just 1mm should do the trick. Once the hammer is free flight the bounce will completely go away.

It might increase the power a little bit but the gun’s TP is the limit but also why the gun is so consistent. I would get similar strength spring because too much spring will actually reduce power while wasting air. Just buy a few springs and try it, pretty easy to change.

the gun is fantastic the way it is so don’t give into the temptation of power and ruin a good gun. Hahaha

Thanks so much guys. This is the info I was looking for. I’ll see what I can find, and do some testing. Qball, I have no intention of upping the power on this thing. I have other guns for that. Lol.
this is strictly a cheap truck gun for keeping with me, and will only be fed cphp pellets to keep cost down again. Plus, with its current accuracy (straight out of box, without even cleaning the barrel), I have no need to up the power.
