No need to call, get a RMA number, ship it back and then wait for replacement, Instantaneous customer service! Haven’t had to call customer service and use the warrant yet.....

The Chinese H30s have similar looking glass as the Japan SWFA SS.

the crimson trace Japanese scopes are showing up later today so will see how it compares to the Japanese barra h50 scopes at less than half the cost of crimson even after crimson’s 50% off sale(granted one can’t get those prices anymore). I would be very upset if I can not tell the difference! According to online sources they are made in the same Japan factory. Hahaha 


Spoiler alert....they are very, very close. I would give a slight edge to the CT on glass, and I like the reticle better. The Barra has better feeling turrets. Both of them track fine and are well constructed. The only reason I didn’t buy another Barra was the lighted reticle on the CT. I needed this on my Pulsar HP for low light hunting. I do have one of the H30 Barra scopes with the illuminatied reticle and it’s no where near the build quality of the H50 Japan built Barra scopes.

Thanks for the heads up! I won’t say I’m completely surprised because the H50 is rather difficult to beat and made in the same factory as the crimson but I can’t say I’m not some what “disappointed” given the price delta even after the steep discount. Hope crimson’s turrets are vastly better because even H50 turrets are mushy and not so great. Guess I’ll find out soon.

Did you see my post on improving the turrets? It made a big difference. My CT turrets are mushy and too easy to move. I worry about accidentally spinning them without knowing. I have wondered if this is normal or if I just received one that wasn’t quite right.
