Just do what makes you happy as long as you’re not hurting anybody.no I’m not fortunately. I’ve got a shotgun as well so will just stick to the steel shot. But man…watching Matt hit those ducks from 100+ yards makes you want to try it as well.
When I called the warden a while back…they didn’t say anything about that. I’ll have to call again I guess. You can’t hunt mourning doves with an airgun. They are classified migratory and you have to use a shotgun. You CAN hunt Eurasian doves with an airgun. If you haven’t already, read the regulations. Federal citation will ruin your day
If you are an illegal in CA you are unlikely to be prosecuted. If you have a good job and pay taxes I suggest you obey all the laws of the lands, otherwise breaking the law will cost you more than you are likely to gain. Buying duck at the store is way less expensive.Just do what makes you happy as long as you’re not hurting anybody.
Most laws and regulations are enacted by idiots and don’t make any sense anyways.

Ok no need to make me sound like a neophyte lol. I meant you don’t see them often until the allotted seasons. Just an observation which is why I said technically. The same was the case when I lived in Kansas. Of course in Kansas, you can only use shotguns for most upland game birds.Game laws are extensive, confusing and yes sometimes seemingly contradictory. But your advice to a individual with so little understanding as to believe he can shoot ducks with a airgun and turkeys are migratory, is not at all responsible
or appreciated by those trying to help, or any of the idiots monitoring this fourm.
There are 16 upland migratory gamebirds in North America but no Mufasa the turkey is not one of them. The dove is but the Eurasian or collard is considered invasive so you can shoot them with your airgun year round as many as you can kill.( no bag limit) but it's the only legal dove with an airgun.
Yes I went through a rigorous hunting course, have my license for this season, and also have my upland game bird validation permitAnd .. by letter of the law NO legal to Shoot Bird may be taken WITHOUT a legal Hunting License.
Which includes Collared Doves, Crows, Grackles, Jays etc .....
Terms and Seasons of take also apply is applicable.
Yessir!Yes turkeys spread out in breading season and do indeed show up places where you don't normally see them. So OK mini migratory birds ( technically.) LOL no offense intended feel free to point out my stupidity any and every chance you get. That's how dummies like me learn that and a shock collar. Good luck and best of wishes with all your hunting opportunities.
